A portion of SR-88 in Douglas County was closed Tuesday morning while emergency crews respond to a ‘suspicious package.’
As of 12:46 p.m. Tuesday, June 21, 2022, the Tahoe Douglas Bomb Squad was able to view the interior of the suit case near Highway 395 and deemed it safe.
The Douglas County Sheriff's Office says the item was on the side of the roadway.
There is no threat to the community and all roads are open.
