Fire crews quickly contained a brush fire that broke out in Spanish Springs on Thursday afternoon.
Truckee Meadows Rescue & Fire posted photos of the fire to X on Friday, showing flames near the WinCo Foods store near La Posada and Pyramid Highway.
TMFR ended the post, "as a reminder, make sure you are not dragging chains or other metal items when towing a trailer as the friction creates sparks and starts fires."
