A man died Thursday night following a rollover crash on Lamoille Highway in Elko County.
According to a release from Nevada State Police, just before 7:30 p.m. a 1992 Cadillac Allante convertible driven by 45-year-old Clint Newton of Spring Creek lost control on a left-hand sweeping curve, crossing both south and northbound lanes before flipping when it reached the shoulder of the road.
Newton was not wearing his seatbelt according to the release, and was pronounced dead at the scene.
There was nobody else in the car at the time of the crash.
The crash is being investigated by the Nevada Highway Patrol Northern Command East Multi-Disciplinary Investigation and Reconstruction Team.
