Serbians are voting in a parliamentary election seen as a showdown between strongman leader Aleksandar Vucic and a student-led movement. The election is shaping up as a referendum between Vucic's right-wing party and the Students' List. The main contenders are polling neck-and-neck, making it the most uncertain election in recent years. The European Union is closely watching the vote due to past irregularities. If his party wins, Vucic plans to return as prime minister. The Students' List, a new movement, aims to counter Vucic's rule with a non-partisan approach. The outcome remains uncertain, with fears of postelection instability.
