Teleperformance USA, The Salvation Army and Feed the Children all helped to donate food and other essentials to local families in need Wednesday.
The event was held at the Teleperformance USA office at 2863 Northtowne Lane. A semi-truck filled with supplies for 400 Reno-area families was unloaded and donated. Each family was given a 25-pound box of food, a 15-pound box of household essentials, and a 5-pound box of children's books and other supplies.
Teleperformance Senior Director Alan Swanson says the event is one of many his company and its partners hold to help give back to the community.
"It's really just supporting the people in our community that need that little help up," Swanson said. "That's something we all try to do more often."
Families who received aid were also offered complimentary services and products from community organizations.
