All Pyramid Lake beaches are now closed until further notice after authorities say authorities say Pyramid Lake is "currently a temporary toxic algae bloom."

The Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribe says water samples from July 22nd show the presences of cyanotoxin levels, which may be harmful to people and pets. 

Symptoms of the toxin can include skin rashes, eye irritation and vomiting.

Pyramid Lake officials are warning people to stay out of the water, don't let pets drink the water and don't eat fish from inside the lake.
