Manna Development is planning to open several Panera locations.

A Manna Development spokesperson tells 2 News the plans for a location in Sparks and Carson City are still a go, however, the pandemic did set back the timelines.

They also plan to build a third location in Reno at The Crossing at Meadowood Square. Officials say they signed a letter of intent for the build. If all goes well, they plan to have a drive-through at that location.

Officials said the location in Damonte Ranch is no longer happening. They said they didn't feel the location was a good fit.

The location is Sparks is set to be off Sparks Boulevard near Chick-Fil-A. They were supposed to break ground in May and open in November, but the pandemic put the brakes on that plan. Officials say they hope to start construction in February of 2022 and open later in the year. Those dates are tentative.

The building for the Carson City location is being built now and will be turned over to Manna Development soon. They hope to start work there in January of 2022 and hopefully open in April of 2022. Those dates are tentative. This location is at the corner of Cochise Street and West Appion Way.

Manna Development says eventually, they want to have five to seven locations in the Northern Nevada area. They’re looking at another location in the Spanish Springs area.

Manna Development owns and operates 140 Paneras in seven states.

Officials with Manna Development said the Panera at the University of Nevada, Reno is a corporate operation, so they're not involved with that one.
