Parole & Probation Seeks Man Convicted of Assault With a Deadly Weapon

David Tuavao

The Department of Parole and Probation is asking for help finding a man convicted of assault with a deadly weapon.

The Department of Parole and Probation says 31-year-old David Tuavao was arrested for the crime after trying to rob four people inside a private residence in August 2003.

He was sentenced, and then released on parole in 2011. While on parole, he was re-arrested for a new offense, and placed on parole again, but then disappeared.

"Since that time we've not known his location we really need to catch up with him the fact of his multiple violent offenses involving firearms as well as known issues with substance abuse make him a dangerous subject,” says Sgt. Lisa Pierrott, Department of Public Safety.

Authorities say he has strong ties to Reno and is suspected to be in the area.

Tuavao is 5’11”, 160 pounds with brown eyes and black hair. He has tattoos on his neck, left arm, and both hands.
