HOW LONG YOU HAVE LIVED IN NEVADA:

I have lived in Nevada since I was 9 years old, when I moved with my mother from Mexico.

WRITE A BRIEF (TWO TO THREE SENTENCES) SUMMARY OF YOUR PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE THAT WOULD ENABLE YOU TO PERFORM THE DUTIES OF THIS OFFICE:

In addition to my private practice, which I began in 2019, I have dedicated my career to public service. I have served Nevada as Legal Counsel to the Commission on Ethics, General Counsel to Governor Jim Gibbons, Executive Secretary to the Gaming Control Board/Commission, Chief Deputy District Attorney/Deputy City Manager for Carson City, Chairwoman of the Cannabis Compliance Board, and on Governor Gibbons' Crime Commission.

WHAT IS YOUR TOP PRIORITY IF ELECTED?

American families pay an estimated $500+ per year because retail theft drives up prices. In 2019, my opponent, Nicole Cannizzaro, voted for a bill allowing criminals to steal up to $1200 of merchandise without being charged with a felony – higher than even California's limit. As a result, we have seen a wave of retail theft, and Nevadans are suffering with higher costs. This is just one example of my opponent and the current Attorney General's soft-on-crime policies harming Nevadans in real ways. When elected, I will reverse these policies and crack down on organized retail theft, so hard-working Nevadans aren't forced to pay for someone else's crime.

IN JUST A FEW SENTENCES: WHAT DO YOU BELIEVE IS THE BIGGEST PROBLEM FACING OUR STATE, AND HOW WOULD YOU FIX IT?

Prices are rising, and politicians like Nicole Cannizzaro and Aaron Ford focus more on their partisan agendas than on helping the people of our state. Cannizzaro raised the felony theft threshold, letting thieves off with a slap on the wrist, and raised the fentanyl trafficking threshold, allowing more deadly drugs on the streets. Meanwhile, Aaron Ford is living up to his soft-on-crime agenda by sponsoring a man who killed a mother and her unborn child for early release. Nevadans need an Attorney General who will make our streets safer and find Nevada solutions to Nevada problems rather than focusing on their political ideologies.

CONSUMER PRICES, GAS PRICES, AND HOUSING COSTS ARE HISTORICALLY HIGH, WHILE WAGES HAVE NOT KEPT PACE IN NEVADA. WHAT IS YOUR PLAN TO HELP NEVADANS WHO ARE STRUGGLING FINANCIALLY?

Prices are rising across the country, making life harder for families struggling to put food on the table, get out of debt, or save for retirement or their children's education. But some states are less hard-hit; gas prices in Nevada are a dollar higher than the national average. Because Nevada gets most of its gasoline from California, our costs respond to its market, where Gavin Newsom's radical energy policies have driven gas costs up. As Attorney General, I will sue Newsom and California to halt the radical energy policies that are forcing Nevadans to pay more.

WHERE DO YOU STAND ON THE RAPID DEVELOPMENT OF AI, AND THE PROLIFERATION OF DATA CENTERS? WHAT ROLE DO YOU SEE NEVADA TAKING IN EACH?

I support Governor Lombardo's executive order on responsible data centers, which protects energy ratepayers, conserves water, and expands school funding. The order provides real accountability and school funding mandates that will ensure local communities benefit from the data center tax abatements Aaron Ford helped pass. As Attorney General, I will enforce this order to ensure data centers follow the law and do not harm our communities.

IN ONE SENTENCE: WHAT’S THE MOST IMPORTANT THING VOTERS SHOULD KNOW ABOUT YOU?

Nevada is a unique place that I love – I raised my children here, built my business, and served our government at both the state and local levels – and I'm running for Attorney General to make sure our children and grandchildren have the same chances I had.
