The United States Attorney's Office, District of Nevada, says a Reno man was indicted and arrested for passport fraud this week.
Officials said 69-year-old Ludy Will Dial Jr., also known as 'Russel Van Wyck,' or 'Russell Van Wyck,' was arrested on Thursday and indicted for one count of use of a passport secured through a false statement.
They said according to the indictment, on July 8, 2015, Dial Jr. used a US passport that was issued due to a false statement made in the application. Officials said specifically, the application stated the person in the passport photo was named Russel Van Wyck, when in fact the person was Dial Jr.
In addition, they said Dial Jr. used that passport to obtain a Nevada driver's license.
Dial Jr. faces a statutory maximum sentence of ten years in prison and a $250,000 fine, as well as a period of supervised release, restitution and monetary penalties.
