A 38-year-old Reno man with a long criminal history has been sentenced to two life terms in prison under Nevada's habitual criminal statute following convictions for felony DUI and burglary.Â
The sentence ensures that Shaen Gresham will serve a minimum of 10 years in prison before being eligible for parole.Â
Washoe County District Attorney Chris Hicks says Gresham fled to California after entering his pleas in 2013 before he was returned in custody in 2015 for sentencing.
The prosecutor says Gresham's criminal background includes DUI causing death, impersonation, conspiracy, burglary and drug convictions.
Gresham previously served about 10 years in prison in Nevada after pleading guilty to felony DUI in a crash that killed a 55-year-old woman crossing a Las Vegas street in 1997.
