The Reno Police Department have arrested a man suspected of robbing five different convenience stores over the course of three days.
After receiving a tip from a citizen, the Regional Crime Suppression Unit identified 21-year-old Reno resident Harry Puapuaga as the suspect in all five robberies. Puapuaga confessed to his involvement in the crimes, and a firearm was recovered during the investigation.
The first robbery happened at the 7-Eleven store on North Virginia Street late Sunday night. Police say Puapuaga pulled out a firearm and demanded money from the clerk.
An hour later, officers say Puapuaga entered the McCarran Mart on Stead Boulevard and again stole money from the clerk at gunpoint.
On Wednesday, police say Puapuaga entered the 7-Eleven on 15th Street in Sparks. Once again, Puapuaga demanded money from the clerk at gunpoint. Police say Puapuaga committed the same crime at the Jackson's Food Stores on Stead Boulevard a few hours later.
Puapuaga faces five counts of robbery with a deadly weapon.
