Reno Police Investigate Shooting at Barbara Bennett Park Near Basketball Courts

Reno Police are investigating a shooting at Barbara Bennett Park near the basketball courts. They also tell us they are looking for three suspects.

Police say the victim was approached by two of the suspects at the park just after 12:45 p.m. on Thursday.

One of them shot the victim in the leg.

The unidentified victim was transported a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police say the two suspects ran to a waiting car. The suspects and a driver were last seen heading south on Arlington Avenue in a white SUV.

One suspect is described as black man with light skin with short, possibly shaved hair. He was armed with a handgun.

The second suspect is also black man with dreadlocks and a goatee.

And the third suspect is a white man, with dark-colored slicked back hair.

Police say the incident appears to be the result from an argument earlier in the day.
