Reno Police Seek Car Theft Suspect, No Threat to Public |

Police are looking for a car theft suspect they say forced a Washoe County school on lockdown early Thursday afternoon.

Reno police say they got a call from a man saying he chased after a person who stole his car in the area of east 6th Street and Evans Avenue.

Police say the suspect crashed the stolen car along Dutch Flat Road in Sun Valley and ran off.

Desert Skies Middle School was put on a code yellow lockdown but it was lifted within an hour. They say there's no threat to the public.
