The Reno-Sparks Convention and Visitors Authority (RSCVA) has announced the organizations next President and CEO.
They say the Board of Directors selected Charles Harris to be the organization’s next President and CEO on Monday.
Officials say the President/CEO reports directly to the RSCVA Board of Directors.
They say through direction of the Board, the President/CEO plans, coordinates, directs, and is responsible for all activities associated with the operation of the RSCVA and its facilities.
Officials say Mr. Harris is currently the Chief Marketing Officer and Executive Vice President of Public Affairs for Visit Anaheim, where he is responsible for developing and implementing strategies related to marketing, communications, public relations, advertising and web development.
They say Mr. Harris’ recent experience also includes roles as the Vice Chair of the Visit California Brand & Content Committee and Co-Marketing Chair of the Orange County Visitor Authority, as well as seats on the Anaheim Transportation Network’s Board of Directors and Cal Travel’s Government Relations Committee.
Officials say as part of today’s actions, the RSCVA Board Chair was authorized to negotiate items including, but not limited to, compensation and start date, details of which will be finalized with a subsequent vote by the RSCVA Board of Directors.
