If you have ever had a perfect business idea, but are unsure about making it a reality, an event this week could be for you.

‘Reno Startup Week' is all about learning techniques to establish and develop new businesses.

“We have a lot of companies downtown, a lot of talented individuals, and there's others in the community who also have great ideas,” said Bryan McArdle, Startup Week organizer. “When you mix those groups together, magic happens.”

This is the third year for ‘Startup Weekend,' however, it is the first year they've expanded it for the entire week. The weeklong celebration concludes at the Freight House District when entrepreneurs, web designers, graphic designers, and more gather for 54 straight hours of developing their idea. That event starts Friday evening.

For example, let's just say somebody wanted to develop a pickle making business...

“Other people will come up and say, ‘I really like your pickle making idea,'” said McArdle. “'I want to join your ream. I am a graphic designer and I can create a logo for you.' So while you're going out and building  the business model, somebody is building a logo, and maybe a website developer will say, ‘I can build your website.'”
