Roberto's Taco Shop opened its first location in northern Nevada, at 8th and Virginia Street in Reno.Â
The chain began in San Diego in 1964. It has since expanded to about 20 locations in San Diego and 40 more locations in Las Vegas. The shop is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Â
The owners tell Channel 2 News that it was university students requesting their food that brought them to Reno.Â
The opening was such a success, the owner of Roberto’s,Reynaldo Robledo, confirms they had to shut down the Reno store at 7 tonight because they ran out of everything.
