The union representing Reno-area transit bus system employees announced Monday it agreed to a contract extension through July with MV Transportation.
The current two-year contract was set to expire Monday night. Teamsters Local 533 had voted to authorize a strike, however, that didn’t mean a strike would immediately happen.
Local 533 has represented RTC bus system and RTC Access paratransit drivers and support personnel for 25 years.
