RTC is thanking everyone for their patience during the construction and your continued support of midtown businesses. The Virginia Street bus rapid transit extension project is a more than $80 million investment in our community.
It will create connectivity between midtown Reno and the University of Nevada, Reno and will support economic development, enhance safety, and improve livability in the corridor.
The project will improve transit operations by extending the Virginia line rapid transit service to UNR, correcting ADA sidewalk deficiencies and improving traffic operations.
Also, up to 300 trees will be added to the corridor.
Join us at Jelly Donut (1750 S. Virginia) from 7-8 a.m. today for free donuts and coffee in appreciation of everyone’s patience during Midtown construction. #VirginiaStreetProject pic.twitter.com/eMRqF5pHJO
