Sparks Blvd. was temporarily closed northbound at Baring Blvd. for a crash investigation early Wednesday afternoon.

Governor-elect Lombardo will deliver the 2023 State of the State address on Monday, January 23 in the Nevada Assembly Chambers in Carson City. 

The fire started just before 4 p.m. on Friday. 

Police say a nearby domestic disturbance prompted the initial lockdowns. 

Vaughn Middle School was on a temporary precautionary code yellow lockdown due to nearby police activity. 

Crews will continuing mopping up today. Legacy Trail remains closed in the fire area.  

Fire crews say they quickly contained the fire, and everyone affected was evacuated. 

The house fire broke out around 10:45 p.m. near Wooster High School.
