The first general election debate of the 2024 season has come to a close. U.S. President Joe Biden and his Republican rival, Donald Trump, squared off on Thursday, clashing on immigration and climate change and launching deeply personal attacks on each other.
Interim Registrar of Voters Jamie Rodriguez presented a summary of the election, which saw voter turnout of 64 percent.
Most poll locations say they will stay open until 7 p.m. to give early voters a little more time.

Washoe County Sheriff Darin Balaam filed for re-election on Monday.
Washoe County School District Board President Dr. Angie Taylor has filed for state assembly office in Nevada.
Governor Steve Sisolak filed for re-election on Monday, the first day of candidate filing.
The early voting period runs as late as Dec. 31 in some counties.
The official results will now be sent to the Nevada Secretary of State to be certified with other county results in Nevada.
The livestream will run from 1-5 p.m. Monday, and from 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. every day through Friday, October 30, which is the final day of Early Voting.
