The Truckee Meadows Parks Foundation held its third annual Carpe Diem Fishing Derby on Saturday.

Over 1,000 kids got the opportunity to catch their first fish at the Douglas County Kids Fishing Derby. 

The Sparks Marina was reloaded with 2,500 Tiger Trout Tuesday morning, giving anglers more opportunities to try and reel them in. 

Nevada Department of Wildlife stocked the Sparks Marina with 5,000 rainbow trout.

Construction started in July 2022 and it's expected to be completed in August 2024.

Books may be written by authors from the state, take place in the state, or celebrate the state’s culture and heritage.

A University of Nevada professor and the host of National Geographic's ‘Monster Fish’ has just published a new book.

The partnership enables NRCS and the Forest Service to invest in conservation and restoration efforts.

The park was closed in order to remove invasive fish from the pond. The Department of Wildlife says it's from residents dumping pet fish there.
