Following last weekend’s massive winter storm, Mt. Rose Ski Tahoe announced its terrain is now 100 percent open for skiing and riding.
The $7.5M Lakeview zone project was the largest capital improvement project in the resort's history.
The expansion is expected to open for the 2022-23 winter season.
While it may be an inconvenience for drivers, skiers are enjoying the fresh snow. Mt. Rose Highway is back open and so is Mt. Rose Ski Tahoe.
Today Mt. Rose Ski Tahoe continued to kick off their snowy season on opening weekend.
Mt. Rose Ski Tahoe, Kirkwood Mountain Resort and Heavenly Mountain will all open this weekend.
There is not enough snow on the ground for most ski resorts and other snow-reliant businesses to open.
After a warm fall, we could see our first snow of the season later this week.
