  • Tuesday will be the hottest day of the week with highs in the mid to upper 90’s. Temperatures are already in the 80’s as of 11am, and they’ll warm another fifteen degrees by the time you drive home from work. It will be a nice day at Lake Tahoe with temperatures in the upper 70’s and low 80’s. Lots of sunshine too. Wind speeds will be light overall, but thanks to the Washoe Zephyr gusts will be in the teens and twenties later this afternoon and evening. Wednesday will be slightly cooler with highs in the lower to mid 90’s. A low moves in for the weekend, dropping us into the low 80’s by Friday and and 70’s by Saturday. It will be a windy transition, increasing fire danger. A Fire Weather Watch goes into effect for parts of Northern Nevada, including Carson City, Southern Washoe, Western Lyon, Far Southern Lassen, Douglas, Storey, Pershing, Churchill, and Mineral Counties from Friday morning through Saturday evening due to strong winds and low relative humidity values. Wind gusts could reach 45mph. The best chance for rain will be close to the Oregon and Idaho border.
