Palisades Tahoe opened select upper mountain runs after the holiday storm brought over 6 feet of snow. 

Sky Tavern Ski Shop hosted its annual Ski Swap event, allowing members of the community to turn in old gear and shop for new gear as we get closer to the Winter season. 

Palisades Tahoe's closing day will be Memorial Day, Monday, May 27.

26 inches of snow fell at Palisades Tahoe this past weekend, bringing the season's total up to 423 inches and postponing a spring event.

Skiers and snowboarders were able to enjoy good weather this weekend at Mount Rose Ski Tahoe.

SkiDUCK, a local non-profit, helped 50 kids hit the slopes on Sunday. The charity partners with Palisades Tahoe to give financially disadvantaged and at-risk youth the opportunity to ski and snowboard for free.

Palisades Tahoe is offering a program to help people learn to ski and snowboard. It is offered for adults and for children aged three and up.

42-year-old Timothy Mackey of South Lake Tahoe has been sentenced to five years in prison followed by five years of supervised release for distribution of child pornography.
