Second Man Turns Self in to California Sheriff After Alleged Casino Takeover

California Casino Takeover Suspects

The U.S. Marshal's Office in Reno says a second man has turned himself in to authorities in connection with an alleged armed takeover of a central California casino. David Dixon remains on the loose.

Marshals say 46-year-old Timothy Tofaute of Sparks turned himself in to the Madera County Sheriff's Office on Monday, and was subsequently released on $800,000 bail.

Tofaute, along with 38-year-old Brian Auchenbach of Gardnerville and  and 35-year-old David Dixon of Sparks, are among 15 suspects in the Oct. 9 takeover of the Chukchansi Indian Resort and Casino in Coarsegold, California.

Auchenbach is a former Douglas County deputy.

Authorities say Dixon has extensive military and private security training - and should be considered armed and dangerous.

The three men are accused of kidnapping, false imprisonment and assault with a deadly weapon in what investigators say is part of a power struggle between tribal factions.
