A Silver Springs man found guilty earlier this year of abusing and neglecting his girlfriend’s son was sentenced to prison on Wednesday.
Cody Wallace was acquitted of first degree murder and manslaughter in February in connection with the death of his girlfriend's young son in November of 2010.
However, he was convicted of the abuse charges, and was sentenced to six to 15 years in prison.
Once he arrives at the Nevada Department of Corrections, authorities will look at his sentence and credit for time served and set a parole hearing in the case.
