Officials with the City of South Lake Tahoe say a convicted felon was arrested after a battery, while the search for his accomplice continues.
Officials said on January 28, 2019, the South Lake Tahoe Police Department received a report of a domestic violence incident. They said a 33-year-old woman said her husband, 25-year-old Christopher Hendrickson of South Lake Tahoe had punched her in the face after an argument and threatened to kill her.
They said Hendrickson was found and arrested for felony threats and violating the terms of his parole.
Officials said Hendrickson is currently on parole and has a history of weapons charges, battery causing traumatic injury and threatening law enforcement. They said he was released from custody on January 30 on his own recognizance after his arraignment.
Officials said on February 3, the 33-year-old woman contacted police again and reported Hendrickson had battered her again. They said when officers tried to contact Hendrickson, he fled and was able to escape. They said around 9 a.m. the next day, he was found at the Lake Tahoe Inn on Lake Tahoe Boulevard.
Officials said when officers made contact with Hendrickson and another man, 32-year-old Teofilo Uribe, they fled the hotel. They said Hendrickson forced his way into the lobby and rear residence at Beverly Lodge, where the manager and his family were located. They said Hendrickson was tazed and arrested, while Uribe was able to get away.
They said Uribe has a long history of kidnapping, drugs, theft and weapons violations. Officials said he currently has three outstanding warrants for his arrest including possession of a firearm by a felon. They said his whereabouts are unknown at this time.
Officials said during Hendrickson's arrest, he suffered minor injuries from the tazer and was taken to a local hospital for treatment. They said when he was being transferred back to a patrol car, he was able to escape custody and fled to a nearby neighborhood.
Officials said with the help of the El Dorado County Sheriff's Office, Hendrickson was re-captured and booked into the El Dorado County Jail.
He is charged with resisting arrest, escape from custody, corporal injury to his spouse, willful cruelty to a child, forcible entry into a property and felony vandalism.
