A 24-year old man is in jail after officers say they recovered a large amount of drugs, and stolen handguns inside his motel room. 

Sparks Police arrested 24-year-old Evan Zachary Encoe on Saturday at the Motel 6 on Victorian Avenue.

During the arrest, police say Encoe was carrying methamphetamine, and an unidentified woman with him was carrying heroin and cash. Officers say they obtained a search warrant for Encoe's motel room where officers say they located a number of narcotics and stolen handguns. 

Evan Encoe is charged with resisting a public officer, possession of drugs with intention to sell, possession of stolen property and several other charges.Â
