The Sparks Police Department has released new details on a hit and run crash that happened at East York Way and Patrice Drive on Friday evening.
Secret Witness is now offering a $250.00 reward for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of the suspect involved in the hit and run crash.
They said around 6:10 p.m. officers responded to the area on reports of a motorcyclist down. When they arrived, a 71-year-old man was on the ground. He was taken to the hospital with several injuries. They said the severity of those injuries is unknown at this time.
Sparks Police said officers learned from witnesses that a mid 2000's white sedan made a U-turn from Patrice Drive onto East York Way, while the motorcyclist was traveling eastbound on York Way and struck the driver's side of the car.
They said the sedan left the area without stopping to help or report the injured motorcyclist.
Sparks Police say they are looking for the public's help identifying the suspect and the suspect vehicle.
They said the suspect is described as a younger Hispanic or Indian female with shoulder length dark brown or black hair.
Anyone with any information is urged to contact Sparks Police at (775) 353-2231 or Secret Witness at (775) 322-4900.
