House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has invited President Donald Trump to deliver the State of the Union address on February 4, 2020.
Pelosi sent a letter to the president on Friday formally inviting him to deliver the address at the U.S. Capitol.
The invitation comes just days after the House voted to impeach the president.
A date for the Senate impeachment trial has not yet been set.
The Senate is currently at an "impasse" about setting the rules of the impeachment trial, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said Thursday.
You might remember that 2019's State of the Union Address was nearly canceled because of a contentious fight between Trump and Pelosi over the federal government shutdown.
If President Trump accepts the invite, the speech will take place on February 4th, 2020.
