Billie Jean King celebrated earning a college degree 65 years after first taking classes. The 82-year-old sports icon has received her bachelor's in history from Cal State Los Angeles. She walked across the stage with about 6,000 others in the Class of 2026. King is the first in her family to graduate. She emphasized that it’s never too late to pursue education. She initially enrolled in 1961, but left to pursue a legendary tennis career. Despite her many successes, she always had a nagging feeling about not earning her degree. King now hopes to inspire others to continue learning.
