The San Antonio Spurs provided hope to the Minnesota Timberwolves with a lackluster performance in Game 1 of their Western Conference series. The Spurs may have stolen that away with a dominating performance in Game 2 on Wednesday night. The No. 2-seeded Spurs handed the Timberwolves their worst postseason loss in franchise history, 133-95. The Spurs’ win marked the franchise’s highest-scoring playoff game since a series-clinching 145-105 win over Denver on May 4, 1983. Also Wednesday, the New York Knicks took a 2-0 Eastern Conference semifinal series lead over the Philadelphia 76ers.
