New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart and wide receiver Malik Nabers sustained injuries in the first quarter against the Los Angeles Rams. Dart injured his left knee during his team’s first series on Monday night, while Nabers hurt his right shoulder on the second-to-last play of the quarter. Dart was examined in the medical tent before walking to the locker room. The Giants said shortly after halftime that he would not return. Jameis Winston replaced him. Nabers was in pain on the sideline after he was hurt, but he was able to return to the game.
The Los Angeles Rams have beaten the New York Giants 28-6. Davante Adams made eight catches for 195 yards and hauled in two of Matthew Stafford’s four touchdown passes. Stafford passed for 327 yards for the Rams, who capitalized after the Giants lost Jaxson Dart to a left knee injury on their first offensive series. The Rams played without injured All-Pros Puka Nacua and Myles Garrett, but Stafford and Adams put on a vintage performance. Jameis Winston passed for 111 yards with an interception in place of Dart, who left the field shakily after taking a huge hit from Byron Young on New York’s seventh play.
