The PGA Championship at Aronimink is proving to be a major test. No player scored better than 67 among early starters. Rory McIlroy struggled, finishing with a 74. Bryson DeChambeau was even worse at 76. Aldrich Potgieter, Stephan Jaeger, Min Woo Lee and Ryo Hisatsune managed to score 67 with enough birdies to offset mistakes. Xander Schauffele is among those at 68. Jordan Spieth and Brooks Koepka are at 69. Spieth was hopeful of a better score the way he hit the ball. But it's a good start as he goes for the final leg of the career Grand Slam.
