Falcons sign former Bengals defensive end Cameron Sample to add depth after losing Jalon Walker

The Atlanta Falcons have signed defensive end Cameron Sample. The move adds depth at edge rusher less than one week after losing Jalon Walker to a season-ending knee injury. The Falcons announced the signing before Sample participated in Monday’s practice in full pads. The 26-year-old Sample was a fourth-round draft pick by Cincinnati in 2021. He signed a one-year deal with San Francisco on April 13 before he was released last week. Sample had 85 tackles and seven sacks in four seasons with the Bengals. He missed the 2024 season with an Achilles tendon injury.
