Nevada Press Release:

Nevada got back into the win column Monday, using a second-half surge to put away William Jessup, 86-64, at Lawlor Events Center. The Wolf Pack (4-1) now hits the road for its second trip of the campaign, a two-game excursion which includes games Friday at Grand Canyon (6 p.m. PT) and next Monday, Dec. 14, at San Diego. Junior point guard Grant Sherfield paced Nevada with 20 points on 6-of-10 shooting in Monday's victory, while Warren Washington battled his way to 18 points and five rebounds inside. Freshman forward Tré Coleman made the first start of his career, hitting a pair of triples and finishing with seven points. The Wolf Pack pulled away just before the under-12 timeout of the second half. Leading 48-39, Nevada scored 10-straight points, capped by Washington's and-1 with 11:16 to go, to swell the lead to 19 and take control. The Warriors, playing their fifth exhibition against a Division I team Monday, cut into the lead some, making it 62-50 with 8:48 to play, but another Nevada run dashed any comeback dreams.
