Nevada Press Release:
The University of Nevada will transition to mobile ticketing for all ticketed sports beginning with the 2020-21 athletics season. The transition includes season tickets, mini-plans and single-game tickets for football, volleyball, soccer, basketball, baseball and softball.
Mobile tickets are delivered digitally to smartphones and can also be transferred easily to others. Through the departments “My Account” fans always have their tickets available to download, transfer or re-sell. Mobile tickets also offer greater flexibility and changes to dates and times of games are reflected in real time.
Additionally, mobile tickets allow for contact-less entry with game day staff upon entry to Wolf Pack venues, as a staff member can simply scan tickets from a smartphone.
“Mobile ticketing is now the industry standard and we’re excited to provide this technology to our fans for a better and safer game day experience on our campus,” said athletics director Doug Knuth.
Wolf Pack season ticket holders will receive notification of their tickets being available in their accounts via email prior to the season beginning. Ticket-holders can download their tickets directly to their phone and the tickets will be available in Apple Wallet or Google Pay, depending on the device. Once downloaded, the ticket is active and can be scanned for entry. Ticket-holders can also transfer one or more of their tickets to other fans via SMS text messaging.
