The Lovelock Police Department says officers are investigating a homicide that happened on November 3 near Main Street.
Officials said officers and deputies from the Pershing County Sheriff's Office responded to 150 Main Street last Tuesday on the report of a shooting.
They said upon arrival, officers found a dead man, identified as 39-year-old Joshua MacDonald, from an apparent gunshot wound.
A search for a suspect was organized.
Around 12:55 a.m. on November 4, officers found the suspect, 21-year-old Jose Figueroa and arrested him.
He is being charged with one count of open murder and one count of illegally concealing a firearm.
The Nevada Department of Public Safety, Investigations Division, is directing the investigation.
