From Regional Transportation Commission of Washoe County:
RTC transit services will be on a Sunday schedule on Thanksgiving, Nov. 27. Passenger Services and administrative offices will be closed. RTC INTERCITY will not operate.
On Family Day, Nov. 28, RTC transit services will be on a regular weekday schedule. Passenger Services will be in operation, however administrative offices will be closed.

   All Washoe County libraries will be closed Thursday, Nov. 27 and Friday, Nov. 28. In addition, the Downtown Reno and Spanish Springs libraries will be closed on Wednesday, Nov. 26, and those libraries that are normally open later will close Wednesday at 5 p.m. Please go to

The following will be open:
   The office of the County Clerk at the Washoe County Complex on Ninth Street and Wells Avenue in Reno will remain open throughout the holiday from 8 a.m. to midnight for the issuance of marriage licenses, fictitious firm names and notary bond filings, as well as property tax payments for the Treasurer's Office.

From the City of Reno:
The City of Reno administrative offices at Reno City Hall (1 East First Street) will be closed in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday on Thursday, November 27 and Friday, November 28, 2014.
Northwest Pool will be closed on Thursday and Friday and will reopen on Saturday at the normal time. All other City of Reno recreational facilities close at 6 p.m. on Wednesday and reopen on Saturday at their normal times.
The Reno Municipal Court (1 South Sierra Street) will also be closed on Thursday and Friday.

From the City of Sparks:
In observance of the Thanksgiving Holiday, Sparks City Hall (431 Prater Way) will be closed
on Thursday, November 27 and Friday, November 28, 2014. This includes the Community Services Department and City Attorney's Office located at City Hall.
Additionally, Sparks Parks & Recreation (98 Richards Way) will be closed, including the Alf Sorensen Community Center (1400 Baring Blvd) and the Larry D. Johnson Community Center (1200 12th Street).
The Sparks Municipal Court (1450 C Street) will also be closed on both days.
The Alf Sorensen Center will have regular operating hours Saturday, November 29.
