The Salvation Army of Washoe County says it is donating more than 150 N95 masks to Northern Nevada Medical Center.
But, the organization says it still needs help from the community. Right now, it is only accepting monetary gifts.
"This will allow us to purchase items in bulk and at a reduced rate so that we may make a larger impact in Washoe County. Those who wish to support our mission may do so at give.salarmyreno.org. There, you can also find information on food distributions and church services, which have been
moved online to keep our congregation safe."
The Salvation Army says it is following local, state and federal health and government guidelines to ensure that their facilities, clients and employees are safe.
"We will continue to do so during and after the COVID-19 emergency."
