Officials with the Reno Rodeo Association say the 2020 Reno Rodeo has been canceled due to COVID-19 concerns.
They said the Board of Directors has been closely monitoring the situation, but they decided to cancel to protect the health and safety of volunteers, sponsors, vendors, competitors and fans.
In a letter sent by Craig Downie, President of the Reno Rodeo Association, he said "I have faith that our health officials and scientists will develop a vaccine for this virus and that next year at this time, life will be to normal."
