Athena Lee - Camron Lee - Mateo Lee

The search for two missing children and their father has taken on new urgency as federal investigators break out separate rewards and widen their appeal for help beyond California.

The FBI and the Sacramento Police Department say they are looking for Camron Lee, who authorities say fled prosecution for alleged murder, and for his children, Athena Lee and Mateo Lee, who remain missing.

Investigators say a reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information that leads to Lee’s location, arrest, and conviction, with an additional reward of up to $25,000 for information that leads to the location and return of the children.

Lee is also known as Saroeun Chea, Tae Won Lee, Taewon Lee, or “Major,” according to investigators.

On Monday, July 8, 2024, the Sacramento Police Department Communications Center received a call for service at a home on Didcot Circle in Sacramento.

Officers arrived and found Angelica Bravo, Lee’s partner, deceased inside the home.

Athena and Mateo, who lived there, were not found at the home, and investigators say they may have been with Lee.

“Bravo’s family has suffered for over a year as they mourn the loss of Angelica and fear for the safety of Athena and Mateo,”  said Sid Patel, special agent in charge of the FBI Sacramento Field Office. “We urge anyone with information related to the whereabouts of Lee and his children to come forward. The FBI and the Sacramento Police Department continue their efforts to find them.”

Lee was charged on July 26, 2024, in Sacramento County Superior Court with four counts of possession of an assault weapon, according to court records.

A federal arrest warrant for unlawful flight to avoid prosecution was issued on August 20, 2024, in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of California.

On March 5, 2025, Lee was charged with alleged murder in Sacramento County Superior Court after the Sacramento County Coroner concluded homicidal violence could not be ruled out as a potential cause of death.

Authorities say Lee fled as the case moved forward.

Athena is now five (5), and Mateo is now three (3). At the time they went missing, Athena had brown hair and brown eyes, stood 3'2" and weighed 40 pounds. Mateo had brown hair and brown eyes, stood two 5'5" tall and weighed 25 pounds.

Camron Lee is described as a 40-year-old Asian man, about 5'9" and about 180 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

Investigators say he has many tattoos on his neck, torso, arms, and upper back, including “NEW YORK” across his upper back and “Timeless” across his neck, along with skull, religious, and other imagery.
