Three suspects have been arrested in connection with a vehicle burglary and fraud investigation at Hunter Creek Trailhead earlier this month.

On September 1, the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office responded to a reported vehicle burglary at the Hunter Creek Trailhead, according to a release from the WCSO.

A victim had been alerted by their credit card company to fraudulent charges. When they returned to their car, they found the passenger-side window broken and two bags missing.

Stolen items included two computers, AirPods, credit cards, and other personal property.

Deputies visited local businesses where the stolen credit cards were used to obtain surveillance video, and the victim was able to track their AirPods to an apartment complex on Wedekind Road.

Sheriff's Office deputies, detectives, and the Northern Nevada Regional Intelligence Center collaborated to identify the suspects.

A search warrant was executed, resulting in the recovery of most of the stolen property.

Investigators also uncovered a fraudulent document lab containing personal identification, counterfeit checks, a check-printing machine, and other related items.

Following execution of the search warrant, Laura Schlicker, Eric Sanchez, and Sophia Renteria were arrested.

Schlicker is charged with felony possession of stolen property.

Sanchez is facing charges of felony grand larceny by card transfer, felony possession of a credit/debit card without cardholder consent, felony fraudulent use of a credit/debit card, and felony obtaining/using personal identifying information of another.

Renteria is charged with felony grand larceny by card transfer, felony possession of a credit/debit card without cardholder consent, felony fraudulent use of a credit/debit card, and felony obtaining/using personal identifying information of another.
