The Sierra Safari zoo is asking for the support of the public during the COVID-19Â pandemic.
Officials say the recent shutdowns, following a long winter, has used up most of their resources.Â
They say their event plans for spring which would have brought in much needed revenue have become an impossibility with the shutdowns.
Officials say they have had to make some hard choices in order to continue to take care of the animals at the zoo.
They say they have a plan and new project going forward but they need help from the community to make it through the next few weeks or possibly months.
Officials are asking anyone with the means to help to donate to support them.Â
They say any amount helps.
