Grand Sierra Resort:

Approximately 171,461 pounds of food

Governor's Mansion in Carson City:

Raley’s: 18,025 pounds of food

Friends In Service Helping (FISH): 8,766 pounds

Ron Wood Family Resource Center: over 3,000 pounds

Ron Wood Family Resource Center: $947

Advocates To End Domestic Violence: 7,634 pounds of food and $1,819 in cash donations 

Carson Valley Inn in Minden:

Approximately 239,930 pounds of food

Approximately $66,516

Original Story: You can give to the hungry in our community during our annual Share Your Christmas Drive-By Food Drive on Friday. 

On December 13th we'll be taking donations at the Grand Sierra Resort in Reno, the governor's mansion in Carson City and the Carson Valley Inn in Minden from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. 

We hope you can come out and give!

Although non-perishable items are accepted, some suggestions for donations include:

Canned Meats

Canned Fish

Peanut Butter

Macaroni & Cheese and Pasta Meals

Powdered Milk

Baby Formula, Baby Food

Complete Meals-Stews, Chili, Ravioli, Hearty Soups, etc.

Canned Fruits, Juice and Vegetables

Dry Cereal

Oatmeal

Rice

Pasta

Last year, our governor's mansion location in Carson City collected nearly 18,000 pounds of food and $4,066 in cash. Friends In Service Helping (FISH) received 8,000 pounds, along with $835 - the Ron Wood Family Resource Center got 4,798 pounds and $2,093 and Advocates to End Domestic Violence received 5,200 pounds and $1,890.

And our Carson Valley Inn location in Minden collected 222,221 pounds of food and $62,783 in cash. Those donations went to the Carson Valley Community Closet. 

We'll be collecting toys for Toys for Tots in Reno and Carson City and Project Santa Claus in Minden.Â
