A portion of U.S. 95 Alternate that was closed after a semi truck hit an overpass in Fernley and spilled its load has since reopened.
It happened under the I-80 bridge on U.S. 95 Alternate at exit 48, according to a post from North Lyon Fire on Facebook.
Crews arrived to find a prefabricated electrical power equipment enclosure that was blocking the southbound lane after hitting the overpass.
First responders worked to clear the road, inspect the bridge, and inspect the truck’s load.
No injuries were reported in the crash.
Firefighters secured the scene and made sure things were safe before turning the incident over to the Nevada State Police and Nevada Department of Transportation for traffic control and the removal of the equipment.
Drivers may experience delays in the area as crews assess the overpass for damage.
