Snow is on the ground Thursday morning with totals around 2 inches in Nevada Valleys with some localized areas seeing 3-4 inches.
Plan on slick road conditions Thursday morning. A cold front carried these snow showers overnight but it has passed through and the bulk of the active weather has moved out of the region.

Temperatures will be in the 20s with forecast highs 10 degrees below average during the morning. Highs today will be in the mid 30s at the airport in Reno with communities outside of the McCarran loop, and in the Carson Valley remaining right around freezing. Temperatures will be cold enough to keep snow on the ground today.
Bring water, blankets, food, and a full tank of gas on your commute. Winds have also been prevalent this morning, remaining between 10-20mph with winds gusting up to 30mph. Winds will continue into the later morning and early afternoon hours.
Tonight, high pressure starts to settle in clearing skies and calming down the weather pattern.
With the cold front dropping temperatures, overnight lows will be in the teens until the weekend when temperatures start to warm up.Â
