A presidential candidate who you may not have heard much about is Dr. Jill Stein of the Green Party.

Stein is part of a crowded field of progressive candidates, but the Green Party has a better ability to get on the ballot compared to many other non-partisans or independents. Stein acknowledges that independent candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has the resources to get on Nevada's ballot.

However, The Green Party has a well-established presence across the country with members and resources. The party has been active in Nevada since Ralph Nader's campaign in 1996. Jill Stein appeared on Nevada's presidential election ballot in both 2012 and 2016.

"If you don't have a tradition and whole culture of watch-dogging ballot access, knowing what the rules are, because it is a minefield. It's intended to destroy competition. It's anti-democratic from the get-go," said Dr. Jill Stein, Green Party Presidential Candidate.

Stein describes her platform as pro-worker, anti-war, and focused on addressing the climate emergency.

"When our community looked back at what happened, we were horrified that so many others stood by. And, for me, that's the message now. No one must stand by and let genocide be perpetrated, you know, in real-time, live-streamed before our very eyes, and we're paying for it," said Stein.

Stein also states that Americans facing economic hardship, with one in four being food insecure, are not adequately represented by the two major parties.

"Our elected officials are creatures of their big money donors, which includes APAC, the war machine, the fossil fuel companies, etc, not everyday people. Policy has almost a complete disconnect from what the urgent and dire needs of the American people are," said Stein.
