Results are in for this year's Red Kettle Bell Ringing Media Challenge, and 2 News finished a solid second.

The friendly competition between local news stations raises money for the Salvation Army to help people in need to put food on their table and gifts under their tree.

After winning last year 2 News finished in second in 2023, less than $30 off the number one spot with $3,378.23 raised.

$2,037.23 of that came from in-person donations, while $1,341 came from virtual donations.

While 2 News finished second, we did come out on top in donations made in person by a margin of more than $459.

Between all three local stations, more than $9,600 was raised.

Thank you so much to all who came out to give or who gave virtually.
